Seasonal Job In North New Zealand

Town Te Puke : Kiwi Thinning (Jan 2013)

The last i had my physical worked out for money has been a decade as a cashier in a shopping mall. Now here in Te Puke i'm doing it again, except these means no air condition and no shelters... worst no clean washroom for 9-10 hours of working :o

Pros: No stress meantally.
Cons:But definately physically as you would b standing with hand and arms right up the kiwi tree height where you can pluck out those inmature, out of shape KIWIs.

Things you should have : Gloves, all weather clothing (too hot, raining, windy.. as it is outdoor)

Town Martinborough : Pruning (March  2013)

Just a couple of days in doing this, basically u jus cut the inmature (GREEN grapes out of the vineyard which at his season shoud be turning RED) or Raisins (or dried gapes in the vineyard)

The Never Ending Trails in vineyard.. Raisins anyone?

Pros: No stress meantally.
Cons: No stress physically as well as the height of the grapes on vineyard jus slightly above my waist, which leave comfortable position of my arms and hands to reach out and cut it..

Town Hastings : Apple Packing (March-April 2013)

Apple Packhouse, finally landed a job indoor.
I thought is a, little did i know the @#@#% that awaits me.
Is away from the SUN.
But the LOUD noise of HEAVy Machineries and Ever Lasting apples from the conveyor belt..
jus make u awaits for the BELL of changing apples/growes or SHOUT of SMOKO..


Cons: Stress mentally with the NOISE in factory, plus physically as lifting and strains on neck, fingers and hands. Bruises as well as often bump onto rails and machines as the optimization of stuff in a factory.

Things you should have : Gloves, Ear Plugs before the Noise drive you crazy.

Best Moment of them all during my seasonal work is..

SMOKO= in NZ. (it seems like smoking time off). Often pronouce as SMOKE-O or SMOK-OH

NZ labor law entitled workers to have two break paid(10minutes) in every 2 hours you work plus an unpaid (30minutes) lunch break for the 6-8hours of work time.

Its December again

Its the end of the year again.. though some fanatics BELIEVE its the end of the world.
Let the judgement day(21st Dec 2012) say on its own.

Often people ask themselves at this month of the year.. on ACHIEVEMENTs.. ACHIEVEMENTs and ACHIEVEMENTs

Well lets talk bout me.. it is my blog eventually :p

Work;
-In a new team, which i start to fall in love and get along with.. especially my peers which share common LOVE on design and discussions.. and boss that is OPEN to every little thing that i said.. and he CARES :)
-Not reli a fan of my job execution mode.. but definately the brainstorming and analytical analysis mode..

Health;
-Been doin a lot of harm to my body, which i regret but have to endure and do it..
-I reli felt im getting old.. not the outlook.. but the internal mechanism isnt as flexible and functioning as it should be. and worst i felt it :(

Relationship;
-I am definately closer to my family members, why? cause i make the effort to :) especially considering im leaving soon (yes, i'm going to NZ in support of seasonal labor force).
-As for friends, I know i've overlooked some friends.. I tried this year to catch up with some old friends :)

Conclusion what i have achieved?
Nothing to be brag about, but i sure have grown up after series of mental and physical struggle on work, health and relationship.

My simple minded thoughts;
Life is just not about driving big cars or a pocket full of cash..
Life is just to short, to do just the above..

~Do something for yourself and your loved ones, before its too late~

January 2011 Vietnam Trip

Its a not a well planned trip... why would i say so..

Even though we bought the flight tics a year back...
after advice from a friend who were there January 2010...
Few bad encounters;

First Encounter: sleeping in an open departure hall

-Remember to bring a jacket for the airport do not tune down its air-condition even at night considering less plane flights. Airports pls GO GREEN.

-Always get a hood jacket if you are planning to do so. Just to cover your eyes from the bright light.

-Plastic straight hard chairs only made available so your might end up on the floor.. bring a sleeping beg along if you are going to do so :p

Second Encounter: most of us checked the weather and brought thick cloths.
-However we are still stunned as we arrived at the Hanoi Airport looking at the ground crew wearing thick winter wears.
-Unevitable change of weather prediction from friends last year feedback on the temperature.
2010 Jan : average of 18 C
2011 Jan : averaging at 8 C

Third Encounter: Sapa lands of muds and slime, the unforgettable 3 hours of track with "life taking" (i meant it literally) tracks.

-My friend slipped countless and nearly fell to the steeps of muddy ponds and river banks (we nearly lost her back there :#).

-Think back we should just paid those aborigines to assist and walk us through the slippery n muddy trails.

Ups and downs we've been through ( i mean literary ), however by far the best trip i have been so far.

The end of another road

I have once again find the end of this relationship.
Its been about 2 years since we've been together, counting minutes and hours in the day,
working out issues and problems..
Its been countless moments of loving and arguing..
We have tried so hard to work through our differences, improving ourselves and accepting one another..
I've never been a easy person to be together with, yet you have light the road for me..
in one way or the other..

To you i say thanks for walking this road with me..
A road i never regret travelling,
A road that shaped me for who i am and who you are,
A road that is filled with bits of pieces of me and you along the way... in flashes of neon lights..

Today my ex remind me of blogging.. one of a thing i actuali love to do as my bed time story to myself..
1) widen my sarcaticism on stuff and people..
2) improve my command of my lousy english..

Lets talk about my Ex..
he would be surprised when he sees this..
If i have only one word to decribe him..
it would be COMPELLING..

he could be a dreadful person to be with it when he is in command..
yet later you would find out his dream and determination towards things rises and shine above it all..

his kindness towards beautiful living creature(especially girls.. hahahaha) often mistaken as flirtation..
but merely just a humble caring words and wisdoms shared at that vulnerable moments..

he could charm you away with his catchy moves and lame jokes.. but most definately he would be a friend that you would want to talk to.. as he listens, digests and keep in mind..

Unfortunately he is my Ex-BOSS (hahaha) and he is married :p

New Dept...

Well, next monday im entering my 4th week in new dept,
things i have done.... not too sure..
1) Kick off new project .. ppl "kick" me only i kick off :p
2) Help out ppl .. always like to help ppl,
but sometimes hate it when ppl don't wan to do say cause their lazy to do.... #$#$!$
3) Learn/ pick up new skills .. writing meeting minutes, checking attendees, agendas and so on
4) Technically .. i know a motherboard more, nvr reli un/knew it b4.
5) LOve sports here .. Tuesday - badminton
Thursday n Friday- tennis (though its a lousy court)
P/S : Whoever try to messed out my sports schedule- i will @#$! them
6) Meeting with lots of funny, crap, crazy ppl... aka new team mates
7) More hansem guys than previous dept :p.. spying around
8) I think i'm like writing an agenda for meetings... ewwww

Anyway, i need to be more mature and independent this time..
wished i no longer need anyone to baby sit me..
Though i still hope i can maintain some good frens i made when i was in previous dept,
shout out to frens from previous dept.. though i'm moving FWD does not mean u guys r forgotten.. though i might not have time to reply your mail, chats n calls.. my bad.. i admit..
but this job is eating 3/4 of my daily life.. now learning to b more effective in order to make 1/2 instead.. til then next update would b focusing on some interior design, believe it or not
AR to myself.. jus try to open some creativity.. most probably next month.. hahaha..
